Profile: The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association

Media: Photography / 360 Degree Images

Behind the scenes
A relatively new client on the back of a recommendation from another corporate client [which is always nice].
I started working for the BVCA in the summer of 2010 and this is a client who invites me to photograph in some fantastic London locations with events in Claridges, the Saatchi gallery, RIBA, Cinnamon Club, Christmas Marquee at Embankment, One Mayfair, Town halls and numerous London hotels.

About the BVCA in their words:
‘The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) is the industry body and public policy advocate for the private equity and venture capital industry in the UK. The BVCA Membership comprises over 230 private equity, midmarket and venture capital firms with an accumulated total of over £230 billion funds under management.’

I am the BVCA official photographer and provide photography on a mix of events from high profile black tie awards ceremonies, to conferences to private dinners, parties, seminars and staff / company portraiture.

A  fast turnaround and rush processing with a selection of images for press purposes is the norm with this client.
As always for my clients and the attendees they can view a web gallery online with the full set of images from the conference and the high-resolution images are made available for download for the client.
Images are also available as a ‘license to use’ for attendees own company usage after the event.

Gear & Tech:
Depends on the job every time, so I usually take one full kit bag, zoom lenses, primes, the works.
360VR kit bag for the virtual images.
I do always try and shoot with only available light. High iso on the mark II has very useable noise levels and creates much more atmospheric images.
